Privacy Policy

Last updated: 4 September 2026

TestMe turns a teacher’s slide deck into a multiple-choice quiz that students join from a link. This page explains exactly what the service stores, what it never stores, and how to get rid of it. It is written to be read, not to be survived.

Who runs this service

TestMe is operated by AI Lite World. For any question about this policy, or to ask for data to be deleted, write to ailiteworld@icloud.com.

Teachers

Teachers sign in with LinkedIn. We receive and store your name, email address and LinkedIn account identifier, which are what identify your account and attach your quizzes to you. We never receive your LinkedIn password, and we never post anything, read your connections, or access anything else in your LinkedIn profile.

We also store the quizzes you create: their title, questions, answer choices, correct answers, time limit and join code.

Students

Students do not create accounts and are never asked for an email address, a password, or any personal detail beyond a display name they choose themselves. For each quiz a student takes, we store that display name, the answers they selected, their score, and how long they took.

Students are often children. Teachers decide who receives a quiz link, and we recommend asking students to enter a first name or initials rather than a full name. A display name is the only identifier the service holds — it is not linked to an account, an email address, a device or any other quiz.

Your slide deck is not uploaded

This one is worth stating plainly. When you choose a .pptx file, it is opened and read inside your own browser. The file itself is never sent to our servers and never stored anywhere.

The text extracted from the slides is sent once to the question-writing service so questions can be generated, and is discarded as soon as they come back. It is not saved to our database. If you later use “Replace” on a question, the deck text is read from your browser tab again — which is why closing the tab means re-attaching the file.

Cookies

We use two, and no others. A sign-in cookie that keeps a teacher logged in, and a language cookie remembering which of the five interface languages you picked. Students’ browsers also keep a quiz session token locally so a refresh does not throw them out mid-quiz.

There are no advertising cookies, no analytics or tracking scripts, and no third-party pixels anywhere on this site.

Who else processes this data

  • Supabase — database and sign-in. Quizzes, questions, student names and results are stored here.
  • Vercel — hosting. Serves the site and processes requests.
  • LinkedIn — teacher sign-in only.
  • Hugging Face Inference Providers — receives the extracted slide text to write questions from. It receives no personal data: no names, no email addresses, and nothing about students.

We do not sell data, share it for advertising, or pass it to anyone beyond the services above.

Keeping and deleting data

Quiz results stay until the teacher removes them. A teacher can reset a finished quiz, which permanently deletes every participant, answer and score while keeping the questions, or delete the quiz entirely, which removes its results too. Both are immediate and cannot be undone.

To have your teacher account and everything attached to it deleted, email ailiteworld@icloud.com and we will remove it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to see the data we hold about you, correct it, have it deleted, or object to how it is used. Write to the address above and we will act on it. If you are in the EU or UK and are unhappy with our response, you may complain to your national data protection authority.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that affects what we collect or who receives it, the date at the top of this page changes with it.
